3 Things Support Can Help You With Besides Technical Issues

Most often when people think about technical support they think about error messages and things that aren’t working. And it’s true that even when I evaluate a program to purchase, I think about support as “problem solving”. However, it’s so much more than that.

Here at FundRaiser, we understand that you may need help beyond something technical. Making sure you can use the software to its advantage in order to help your organization is our number one priority. That’s how I think about my job at support—my job is to help you help your organization. And yes, here in support we chase down the occasional error message, but more often it’s about answering questions, providing mini training classes, and offering help and assistance wherever we can.

Here are three things our support team can assist with besides technical issues.

1) Letter templates. If you would like to send out a letter with specific information, let us help. We can walk you through the process of adding the merge fields available within FundRaiser to your letter template and providing information about our built-in word processor.

2) Helping you group your donors. I’ve written about groupings before, and to me along with the codes, I think groupings are one of the best features of Fundraiser. You have the ability to create very specific groupings of donors for mailings, reports, or to update information. So if you’re looking to create a group, but aren’t sure how to do it—give us a call!

3) General How To Questions. We have an excellent library of videos and training classes, but if you have a quick question, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Throughout my career in support, I have always enjoyed helping customers with more than just technical “error message” type issues. To me, support means helping a customer with whatever they need with the software. So I hope you reach out to our talented support team whenever you have the need.
