Effectively Track Online Donations


FundRaiser Software customers are already used to our Donation, Deposit, and Donor Reports for tracking donations. But for those who also use our Donor Portal it’s important to see what donations came in strictly through online means. The Online Donation report provides the same functionality as these other reports; however, it defaults to showing only gifts that came directly through the Donor Portal.

You can find the Online Donation report on our Reports Menu listed with the Donation and Deposit reports. The features and functionality on this report are the same as the Donation and Deposit reports, which makes it a great way to quickly get a snapshot of a day’s online giving (with flexibility to choose any date range you need.)

Because this report is structured very similar to our Donation and Deposit report it offers a summary report, which is a statistical break down of the gifts. This is very handy, if for example, you offer your donors a selection of purpose codes. When you run the report you can count not just how many gifts came in on that code, but get a break down of number of gifts compared to number of donors and help you find new and repeat donors.

When utilizing an online method of receiving donations, it’s important to be able to track which campaigns are working and being able to run a report exclusively on your online donations helps. Our online donation report will allow you to do this, and of course online donations show up on our other reports, too.
